Smartie Pants

Colter has really impressed me with all the things he has learned in the last few months. Some of my favorites are spelling his name (he forgets his L about half the time), counting to 10, telling me what all the animals say, using the potty, and singing songs; I'll sing part of a song and let him fill in the blanks. He will sing the Mickey Mouse clubhouse song, twinkle twinkle, and he sings Jesus wants me for a Sunbeem and jumps at all the appropriate parts. It's hilarious. I'll have to try and get a recording of it.
It's funny to see how he thinks and his problem solving. Here is an example. The other day we were sitting down and his ball pop toy was switched off. He went in the other room and got batteries and pliers because he thought that the batteries must be dead. We were like yep those are batteries, until we watched him try and put the pliers in the holes for the screws, and shove the batteries the holes.
I think with as smart as he is, its only a matter of time until all my child proofing is for naught. He has already figured out how to get the yard stick I put through the drawers out so he can get a rag. I have also seen him eyeballing the lock button on the fridge. I just cross my fingers that by the time he can reach it he outgrows the desire to dump water all over my floors. Oh well...

Dadddy's boots

I had some really cute videos but my internet connection has been being really slow and I haven't been able to upload them. So... here are some cute pictures instead. These are Greg's boots, and they are just about to tall for Colter's legs. I walked into the back room and he had them on. When I first found him he had one on backward.

Santa Suit

My sister gave me this Santa suit last year. I thought I'd try it on Colt and maybe get some pictures for my Christmas card, and he loved it. He didn't want to take it off once we had taken the pictures and threw a fit when I did. Now he asks to put it on nearly everyday.

Artic circle

With the cold weather setting in Colter has had bit of cabin fever. He loved being outside during the summer, so I was kinda looking for something fun for him to do. I took Colter to Arctic Circle to check out the playland. The first time he went down the slide he hopped off and I think he told me "whoa" like six times. It was really funny. Needless to say this has been a fun family outing since then. This is the 3rd time we have been. He's not quite so vocal about the wild slide ride as before but it's still a cute video.

Chatter Box

This was taken back in early September. I have a better video but for some reason it refuses to upload (grrr) but anyway... Colter is my little chatter box. He know probably about 40-50 words though he is kinda shy and won't always tell you them when you want to hear them. Lately he will grab me or Greg by the hand and yell "Pull" to get us to stand up and go wherever he wants.
